Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical traction procedure used by Physical Therapists and Chiropractors to help with pain that is originating in the spine and causing radiating symptoms in the patient’s arms or legs. The idea behind spinal traction is to apply a force to the spinal column in a way that decreases the pressure on the innervated structures that are causing the patient’s radicular symptoms.

Here at Legacy, our physical therapy team has the appropriate tools for spinal decompression therapy. In addition to having in-clinic decompression, if the patient is found to have a positive response to this form of conservative treatment then we have the ability to set them up with portable units that will allow them to perform this pain relieving activity in the comfort of their own home.

We are now starting to reschedule elective procedures for those patients who wish to undergo treatment.  We are still adhering to strict social distancing guidelines and take every precaution to ensure safety of our staff and patients.

We will continue to see patients via telehealth for office visits.

We appreciate all of our patients working with us during this time.
